Weekend Snapshot

This is what I had for dinner on Sunday. It’s called “Bakmi Pelangi” literally means “rainbow noodle”. It’s made of carrots, veggies, and red beets. The taste was just okay, not really special, but they claimed their noodle as the healthiest noodle in town.

Maybe so.

Girls’ Night Out. And Kids, Too.

22:08:11 :: Rants, Memes :: Technorati icon :: AddThis Social Bookmark Button

I went to Hard Rock Cafe Friday night with Danny to meet out friends there: Vivi, Jeanne and Lily. Lily was Vivi and my classmate in the Uni. There’s also Henny and her kids (Nolan and Nadine) and also Atilla (Vivi’s kid). They all had dinner there, but me, Vivi, and Atilla.

There were many people at E-X (where Hard Rock Cafe Jakarta is located) last night as the President of Indonesia watched “Ayat-Ayat Cinta” at the theater with his family. Indonesia has been crazy for that Islamic drama movie, but not me and (most of) my friends. I think it’s way overrated…

We left Hard Rock at 23:00-ish and Danny dropped me somewhere in Jalan Panjang. I got my head hit by the cab’s door when I entered the cab, and when I got home, my head got bumped again when I wanted to lay down. Yeah, I was drunk :\

Saturday went slow and boring today. I had diarrhea again. I noticed that every time I drank beer, the next morning my tummy went bad.

Hope your weekend was good, bloggers.

Cats on Tuesday: The End of Easter

I took pictures of this white stray cat in front of my neighbor’s. She has a kitten, but it didn’t let me take its picture

Ten on Tuesday: 10 Things to Do Before You Get Married

  1. Watch yourself eating in front of a mirror. If you’re put off, that’s the view your future partner will have.
  2. Live on your own. It’s important that you find out what a hopeless slob you are before your beloved tells you. And then leaves you.
  3. Go out with your friends for a “quick drink” and stagger home three days later.
  4. Have a holiday romance with someone who doesn’t speak a word of English. Who needs conversation?
  5. Women: Take the soft toys off your bed. Nothing turns a man off more than performing in front of an audience of beady-eyed teddies.

Men: Get rid of those “How to Get Girls Even Though You’re Poor and Ugly” books. They never work anyway.

  6. Gobble the last slice of pizza without having to go through the “No you have it, no really. Are you sure you don’t mind?”
  7. Walk about the house naked, without having to hold any bits in…
  8. Have friends of the opposite sex. After marriage, it’s too much effort to keep saying: “No, I really don’t fancy them.”
  9. Men: Enjoy that wardrobe space while you can! You will not believe the vast number of shoes that one woman needs…

Women: Fill in silly magazine quizzes with titles like “Are You Seductive”, without having to listen to loud laughter from your partner (who then runs off with the magazine).

  10. Relish clipping your toenails straight onto the carpet.

Weekend Snapshot

I finally didn’t go to Church today because I got diarrhea :? Actually, I planned to take pictures there for my Weekend Snapshot submission, but as I was at home, I got no object to take pictures so I just took some self-portraits and played with them :)

Saturday Special: March 22, 2008

  1. Peace: be with you.
  2. Passion: of the Christ
  3. Forgive: and forget
  4. Love: God

Saturday 9: Out to Lunch

  1. When you go to a restaurant do you tip better if the waitress is good-looking?
Nope. I tip better if their service is good.
  2. Have you ever asked anyone to turn off their cellphone in public because it bothered you?
It is annoying, but it would be more annoying for the person if I asked them to switch off the phone.
  3. Is your noon meal called “lunch” or “dinner?”
    Lunch.
  4. Do you generally make reservations first?
No. Because sometimes my food mood change easily.
  5. Do you ask for a booth or a table?
Anything available, but a booth is more private and I like privacy.
  6. Do you ask for a doggie bag?
    Sometimes.
  7. Would you complain to the management if there were children crying nearby?
No. They are just kids, anyway.
  8. Have you ever sent food back?
None that I can remember. I’m not fussy.
  9. Do you find servers singing “Happy Birthday” cute or annoying?
    Cute :)

Yesterdays, Yesterday, Today

20:13:33 :: Memes, Poetry :: Technorati icon :: AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Yesterdays were yesterday
they were not today

I had different hopes
in different people yesterdays

Today I might want to quit hoping
that life would treat me better
and love would be on my side

I might want to embrace my legs
so they would cover my heart
and protect it from being broken again

Yesterdays were not today
but still they were precious to me
not as memories
but as lessons I learned in life
but as traumas that forever will haunt me
until I forget what pain is
and let a kiss soothe my doubts

Give me the Alzheimer of heart, oh Almighty
and bless me with an idle mind
