Saturday Special: March 22, 2008

  1. Peace: be with you.
  2. Passion: of the Christ
  3. Forgive: and forget
  4. Love: God

Saturday 9: Out to Lunch

  1. When you go to a restaurant do you tip better if the waitress is good-looking?
Nope. I tip better if their service is good.
  2. Have you ever asked anyone to turn off their cellphone in public because it bothered you?
It is annoying, but it would be more annoying for the person if I asked them to switch off the phone.
  3. Is your noon meal called “lunch” or “dinner?”
    Lunch.
  4. Do you generally make reservations first?
No. Because sometimes my food mood change easily.
  5. Do you ask for a booth or a table?
Anything available, but a booth is more private and I like privacy.
  6. Do you ask for a doggie bag?
    Sometimes.
  7. Would you complain to the management if there were children crying nearby?
No. They are just kids, anyway.
  8. Have you ever sent food back?
None that I can remember. I’m not fussy.
  9. Do you find servers singing “Happy Birthday” cute or annoying?
    Cute :)

Saturday Six: Episide 205

  1. You’re in church, listening to a sermon, when your pastor begins a diatribe that you strongly disagree with. Which are you more likely to do: sit through the sermon and confront the pastor privately afterwards, get up and leave in the middle of the sermon, or say nothing at all?
If it were my pastor, I’d sit through the sermon, but if it were a pastor in a Church that I’m not familiar/connected/committed with, I’d just leave.
  2. Regardless of your response to question #1, how likely would you be to return to the same church with the same level of enthusiasm the following week?
I might want to go to other Church until that controversial doesn’t preach there anymore.
  3. Based on how well you know your particular belief system’s main principles, how much do you agree with them overall?
I don’t agree with the Catholics that we have to admit our sins in front of the Priest. Even though he’s the servant of God, he’s also human like the rest of us. I don’t agree that the Muslims worship Muhammad as their prophet as he practiced polygamy. I don’t believe in Hindu because reincarnation is a ridiculous belief.
  4. Based on how well you know your pastor or the person from whom you take the most spiritual advice (or the person who has influenced your beliefs the most if not a pastor), how much do you think you agree with this person overall and how much do you disagree?
Basically, I believe in God, and sometimes I believe in my own ways. I don’t really care if sometimes the pastor interprets God’s words differently from me. So my best guidance is God, and I ask Him when I pray.
  5. How important is it to you that the people with whom you associate most often have views on spirituality that closely mirror your own?
Slightly important. My bestest friends in life are not Christian.
  6. To what extent do you believe spirited rallies about racism actually opens the door to improve race relations in this country, as opposed to merely maintaining a level of anger that blocks such attempts to improve things?
I can’t answer this question as I’m not American.
